On this day: July 11, 1935

The 4th of July parade was something of a wild west show when a pair of parading horses of the rodeo string decided to bust out a glass window and finally the door of the Lane K. Larson building at the foot of Kennewick Avenue. After entering the store the nags decided to head on upstairs before being rounded up by a small army of buckaroos. Larson had just put the finishing touches on his new auto supply store.
