Arthur H. Wheaton received a telegram from Washington, D.C. to the effect that President Taft had sent his appointment as Postmaster at Kennewick to the senate for confirmation. Also, because of the increase of receipts in the Kennewick post office the salary of the postmaster will be raised from $1800 to $1900 a year.
