On this day: June 20, 1935

A couple of Kahlotus boys had some excitement last week. A big car came tearing down the road just after dark, swung off the road sharply and ran behind a garage, dousing the lights. Some of the braver bystanders had enough courage to grab flashlights and saunter over to investigate. Just as they got near, the car started and swung around sharply and tore off up the road in a cloud of dust. The onlookers were not surprised to see the rear of the car was peppered with bullet holes.
