Merle Jesmore was sentenced to a year in the county jail by Judge Matt Driscoll in Benton County superior court. Jesmore pleaded guilty to a petty larceny charge. He admitted forging a name to a $2 check which was cashed by Max McClure of the Town Pump Service Station. All but 30 days of the term was suspended.
