On this day, May 30, 1935

Blinded by lights on each other's auto, Verne Weatherite of Richland and Mr. Wilburn of Pasco drove into each other on the highway just south of the bridge across the Yakima. Each car lost a front wheel and had other damage. Riding with Weaterite was Mrs. Bertha Schuster, whose daughter Margaret was in her lap. Margaret suffered cuts about the head from the windshield glass.
