Orders will be issued for the steamer Dredge to leave at high tide for the scene of battle. The Dredge will carry no explosives of any kind, but Rear Admiral D.W. Owens is fully confident that her centrifugal pumps will be sufficient to dampen the ardor of the Spaniards while the mud-hook attachment will be used to grapple for the Spanish flotilla.
