H. W. Desgranges returned from a trip to California to buy equipment for the Cornerstone Mine in Idaho. Two-thirds of the stockholders in the mine are Kennewick residents. The mine bears gold in such a form that it is impossible to handle under old methods. A chemist named Rankin has patented a process whereby the concentrates can be worked at a tremendous profit.
