Fire completely gutted the school building at Attalia early Thursday morning. It is believed that an overheated furnace stated the fire and it was so far gone that it was impossible to combat it when the blaze was discovered. The janitor had built the fire in the furnace and then had gone home to breakfast when the fire was discovered.
