On this day: Jan. 29, 1904

O.L Hanson gave his well-trained dog to one of his friends who took the dog to Pasco. The next morning the dog showed op at Kennewick wet as a drowned rat and with icicles on his sides. He had escaped from his new master and swam the Columbia in order to return to Kennewick. Mr. Hanson has since decided that neither love nor money can induce him to part with him again.
