Tri-Cities’ own Minor League baseball team, the Tri-City Dust Devils, is celebrating a milestone season.

The Los Angeles Angels affiliate kicked off its 25th season on April 3.

The Dust Devils will play a total of 66 home games this season, which ends in September. The team has giveaways, performances and other promotions planned across these games.

“This community has supported the Dust Devils from day one, and this season is our way of saying thank you,” team president Derrel Ebert said in a March 9 news release. “We’ve built a schedule full of fun, memories and moments that honor the fans who make Gesa Stadium such a special place. We can’t wait to share this milestone year together.”

Here’s everything you need to know about the season:

Who are the Tri-City Dust Devils? Where do they play?

The Tri-City Dust Devils were established in 2001, when the Portland Rockies relocated to Pasco.

The Dust Devils play at Gesa Stadium, 6200 Burden Blvd. in Pasco.

The stadium was originally built in 1995 for the Tri-City Posse, a now-disbanded team in the independent Western Baseball League, according to team history.

The Dust Devils, whose name was inspired by the team’s desert location, is in the Minor League Baseball’s Northwest League.

The team’s mascot is Dusty, a literal dust cloud. Dusty is a “whirling dervish of dirt who stirs up enthusiasm and fun wherever he goes,” MLB contributor Benjamin Hill wrote.

A few times each season, the team adopts alternate names — and dons special jerseys — that further recognize the area.

The Columbia River Rooster Tails represent the significance of hydroplanes along the Columbia River, and the Viñeros de Tri-City represent the agricultural workers at the region’s American Viticultural Areas.

How can I save money at a Dust Devils game?

Each week the Dust Devils play at home includes at least one Family Feast Night. Check the online schedule to see which night the deal is available each week.

On Family Feast Nights, you can get the following items for just $2.50 each:

  • Hot dog
  • 21-ounce Coke products
  • Chips
  • Ice cream sandwich
  • Laffy Taffy rope

Additionally, each game has a designated “beer batter.”

The Dust Devils designate a player from the opposing team, choosing a different player each time.

If the beer batter strikes out when at bat, all of-age fans in attendance can enjoy domestic 12-ounce beers for just $3.

The Beer Batter discount lasts for 10 minutes following the strikeout. Fans are told when the beer batter is at bat — and if he earns everyone discounted beer.

There are also ways to save money on Dust Devils tickets and parking.

How much are Dust Devils tickets, parking fees?

When you purchase Dust Devils tickets, you have the option of selecting your exact seats, or purchasing general admission tickets and sitting in the first-come, first-served area. This area is located along the third base to home plate stretch, a bit higher up than the assigned seating section.

Tickets range from $10 to $23 depending on the day you visit and your selected seats. Buying in advance is cheaper than buying day-of tickets.

Parking costs up to $5. Ben Franklin Transit has a nearby stop, so taking the bus is a cost-effective alternative.

Season passes can get fans into all 66 home games. This season, you can get a single pass for $99.

A family pass costs $199 and includes four season tickets.
