Well-known Tri-Citian to lead Ben Franklin Transit until new manager is hired

Former Ben Franklin Transit employee Ed Frost has come out of retirement to serve as the interim general manager of Ben Franklin Transit.

He will serve as the transit board searches to fill the position permanently after former manager Gloria Boyce retired.

Frost was one of the founders of Ben Franklin Transit and before his retirement in 2009 oversaw the Dial-A-Ride, Vanpool, planning and marketing departments.

He also served on the Kennewick City Council in 2019 after former Mayor Steve Young died until an election could be held and previously served three terms on the Kennewick School Board.

Ben Franklin Transit provides bus and related public transportation in the Tri-Cities area, including Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West Richland, Benton City, Prosser and Finley.
