A West Richland man accidentally ran over his 2-year-old son Wednesday morning.
The toddler was rushed to to Trios Southridge Hospital and appears to be doing OK, said police Capt. Thomas Grego.
The boy was playing in the front yard as his father connected a station wagon to a camper trailer at a Fallon Drive residence, Grego said.
No one saw how the child got near the car, but as the father was backing up he heard the child crying and realized what happened.
No charges are anticipated, he said.
