Yakima County sheriff’s deputies have identified the shooter they believe killed a 35-year-old man outside of Wapato last week.
Jacob Ozuna, 36, shot Dario Alvarado several times — using two guns — after a verbal altercation outside a home in the 100 block of Winaway Road, according to a news release from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
Ozuna is wanted on suspicion of murder, assault and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to the release.
Deputies described Ozuna as a 36-year-old Hispanic, 5-foot-8 and about 155 pounds. He has brown eyes and a shaved head with a long patch of brown hair in the back, deputies said.
He also has tattoos on his face, chest, neck, hands and arms.
Deputies believe Ozuna, who has an extensive criminal history, is armed and dangerous.
