Updated: Mid-Columbia voters affected by registration mix-up

More than 200 Mid-Columbia voters were amon the 7,000 affected by a software malfunction at the Departmnt of Licensing.

Benton County reports 192 local voters were affected and Franklin County says it had 78 cases.

Both counties have registerd voters and mailed ballots for the Feb. 13 school levy election.

About 7,000 people who registered to vote while visiting DOL were not properly registered because of a software malfunction. The Washington Secretary of State is reviewing the situation to ensure information is properly transferred to elections offices.

Ballots for February’s special election must be received by election day.
