A Richland funeral home will begin a three-phase expansion and renovation on June 4 with a groundbreaking ceremony.
Einan’s at Sunset, on the bypass portion of Highway 240, will expand the size of its main building by 5,600 square feet as part of the first phase of the renovation, a release said. The lobby and chapel will be expanded and a deck will be added providing views of Rattlesnake Mountain.
The funeral home’s adjacent Cemetery at Sunset will have its Wellspring Garden area developed, creating more cremation options and a lakefront area for visiting loved ones.
The groundbreaking is at 10 a.m. The funeral home will remain open during construction, which is scheduled to finish in spring 2016.
