New positions

-- Ross James Manderscheid, a 2008 Kamiakin High School graduate, has accepted a position at Kaiser Permanente as a finance program manager for the information technology department at the company's headquarters in Oakland, Calif.

He has a bachelor's degree in management and information systems from Washington State University. His parents are Jim Manderscheid and Michele Mantello.

-- Fulcrum Environmental Consulting, which has offices in Yakima and Spokane, recently hired Kendra Williams.

Honors, certifications

-- Mary Kay independent sales director Tricia Albright of Moses Lake earned the right to use a new Chevy Malibu.

Albright earned the car through the Mary Kay Career Car Program, which rewards sales associates for achievements in business. She has worked with Mary Kay since 1997.

-- Doug Eadie of Kennewick-based Meier Architecture and Engineering earned his certification as a project management professional from the Project Management Institute. The certification means that he is capable of leading a project team within the constraints of a schedule and budget.

-- Esprit Graphic Communications in Kennewick received the Award of Excellence from the APEX awards program. The APEX awards are given for excellence in publications including newsletters, magazines, brochures and websites. Esprit received the award for its nonprofit brochure.

-- Gillespie Roofing of Walla Walla recently received the 2012 Partner in Quality Award from Firestone Building Products.The award is presented to contractors who installed a minimum of four warranted Firestone roofs in each of the past five years, maintained at least 1 million square feet of Firestone roofs and achieved an annual Quality Incidence Rating of 2.0 or less.

-- Gesa Credit Union recently was recognized for its support of Junior Achievement. Gesa's President and CEO Christina Lethlean was recently presented with a framed award at the Junior Achievement Board of Directors meeting. The company was recognized for its efforts in the JA Celebrity Bowl where staff members raised more than $11,500 for local students.
