Gesa Credit Union is donating a playhouse to the Collegium in Pasco today.
The Collegium acts as a community clubhouse for Tierra Vida, an east Pasco subdivision built by CASA LLC, an affiliate of Broetje Orchards.
During the school year, volunteer tutors help youths with homework through an afterschool program. And during the summer, CASA also offers an eight-week youth program, which includes field trips to such places as to Memorial Pool.
The students attending the afterschool program as well as children who live in the Tierra Vida development will use this playhouse.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate the new playhouse will take place at the Collegium, 3525 East A St. in Pasco at 4 p.m. today.
The playhouse, named Casita Gesa, is part of the Richland-based credit union's continued commitment to the communities it serves, according to a news release.
