Employees at Chico's women's clothing boutique at Kennewick's Columbia Center mall are trying to collect at least 400 pieces of new and gently used clothing for women and children at the Tri-City Union Gospel Mission this week.
The clothing drive will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the store.
Vicki Piippo, the store's manager, said her employees hope to beat the record of 300 clothing items donated to the mission in April. Customers had asked about doing the drive again.
Clients who donate will receive 50 percent off any one item with the purchase of $100 or more, she said.
