An annual symposium to help small businesses in the Mid-Columbia learn about contracting opportunities at the Hanford nuclear reservation is Wednesday and Thursday in Pasco.
The Bridging Partnerships Small Business Symposium is sponsored by Hanford's prime contractors and the Tri-City Development Council in cooperation with the Department of Energy. Register by calling TRIDEC at 735-1000. Cost is $75.
A tour of Hanford is planned Wednesday. The conference Thursday will cover contracting basics, nuclear safety requirements and small business opportunities at Hanford, including for federal economic stimulus projects. The keynote speaker is Sunny Kobe-Cook, founder of Sleep Country USA. More than 60 booths are planned.
