USDA's Farm Service Agency in Benton County will take bids for the Conservation Reserve Program from March 14 through April 15.
Farmers and ranchers can offer eligible land through CRP's competitive general sign-up at the county Farm Service Agency office, 415 Wine Country Road, Prosser.
Land not enrolled in CRP may be offered and current CRP participants with contracts expiring this fall may make new contract offers.

The FSA also is asking that farmers and ranchers who have had weather-related damage to report it. Reporting can help determine if a weather disaster declaration would be issued that could allow low-interest loans and direct payments.
Producers are eligible only if they obtained crop insurance or noninsured crop assistance programs.
