The Rattlesnake Mountain Section of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International will meet at 5 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, ETB Building Room 1103, 3200 Q Ave., near Battelle Boulevard and George Washington Way in Richland.
There will be a free presentation, "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Progress," by Karen Vacca, program manager for Washington River Protection Solutions, at 5:30 p.m.
The $326 million that WRPS received has been used to reduce 53 million gallons of radioactive waste stored in 177 underground storage tanks and prepare to feed the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant a consistent diet of waste once it becomes operational.
