A free class on "Understanding Government Contracting Solicitations" will be offered next week by the Washington State Procurement Technical Assistance Center and the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce.
It is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Bechtel Board Room at the Tri-Cities Business & Visitor Center, 7130 W. Grandridge Blvd., Kennewick. Ashley Bennington-Coronado, PTAC business counselor, will be the speaker.
State and federal governments purchase millions of dollars worth of products and services from small businesses each year. Attendees will learn about the bidding process and how to respond to these complicated government solicitations. The session will cover key topics such as elements of a solicitation, types of solicitations and how to respond to "sources sought" notices and request for proposals.
