DAYTON -- The state of Columbia County's economy will be discussed at a 7 p.m. meeting Thursday at the Liberty Theater, 344 E. Main St.

Arum Kone, regional economist for the state of Washington, will give a presentation on the county's economy. Port of Columbia officials will give a brief update on the Blue Mountain Station project, 28 acres the port has set aside for natural and organic food processors. Port officials also will share information they have compiled on the county's largest employers.

The port is offering the workshop as part of its efforts to update its Comprehensive Plan.
