Department of Energy grant money is available for nonprofit groups near Hanford and other DOE cleanup sites to research and report on environmental management activities and decisions.
The New Mexico Community Foundation is administering $1 million in grant funds. The money is to be used for projects that increase public involvement, help with analyzing environmental cleanup plans, increase public awareness of contaminants or build support for successful DOE cleanup.
