Benton County Emergency Management is urging local businesses that were affected by the recent winter weather to submit an economic injury worksheet.
Affected businesses include those that could not open because of the weather and those whose customers stayed away because of road conditions.
The state needs five worksheets to request a low-interest loan program for businesses from the U.S. Small Business Administration, according to a news release.
The worksheet helps establish that a business suffered economic injury from the winter weather. Filling out the worksheet does not obligate a business to apply for a loan.

The SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans program provides low-interest loans to eligible small businesses that have suffered substantial economic injury, regardless of physical damage. It provides operating expenses until a business recovers.
