Weapons of mass destruction topic of talk

The threat of weapons of mass destruction will be discussed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at a meeting of the Eastern Washington Section of the American Nuclear Society at the Shilo Inn, Richland.

Tyrone Blackburn of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, will discuss the international community's response to the threat of proliferation and the U.S. export control system, including recommendations for companies exporting commodities or technology.

There is no cost to attend the talk, but the dinner meeting at 6 p.m. costs $22. Reservations are required by 4 p.m. Friday by calling 735-6622.
