DOE Hanford manager plans to retire next year

Dave Brockman, one of Hanford's two top Department of Energy managers, has notified DOE he plans to retire in January.

He manages the DOE Hanford Richland Operations Office, which oversees work at the Hanford nuclear reservation except for at the tank farms and vitrification plant.

He will have worked at the Richland Operations Office for five years, after retiring from the federal government once before. At Hanford he was the project director for the K Basins Closure Project before being named acting deputy manager and then manager of the Richland Operations Office starting in July 2007.
