When my son was about 2 1/2, one of his friends landed-head first in a phase.
The “Why?” phase.
At first, I thought maybe my son was just slow at hitting this phase.

Then, I started to count myself lucky. And I naively grinned a little as my friend relayed these long conversations she would have with her daughter that drove her nearly insane whereby the only thing said by her daughter repeatedly was one word, "Why?”
Karma sometimes sucks.
My daughter is 2 years and 2 months, and she asked me “Why?” six times today about ridiculously trivial things.
I see “'The why?' phase" looming in my future.
