Job's Nursery plans classes in Pasco

PASCO -- Learn what to look for when buying garden tools, how to care for roses and pick up some tips on landscape design at a series of free classes at Job's Nursery north of Pasco.

Feeding and Watering Roses -- Helen Newman of the Washington State University Extension Master Gardeners and the Tri-City Rose Society will discuss how to feed, prune and care for roses. The class is at 2 p.m. May 23.

The Right Tools -- Master Gardener Kay Fick will discuss how to shop for, use and care for garden tools to make working in the garden more productive and enjoyable. The class is at 3 p.m. June 6.

Interactive Landscape Design -- Learn some of the basics of landscape design with Kathy Job. She'll show combinations of plants that work together for full sun locations and display them in a flower bed layout. The class is at 3 p.m. June 13.

Pruning Basics -- Duane and Arthur Job will demonstrate how to prune trees to keep them healthy and attractive. They'll also discuss proper tools. The class is at 3 p.m. June 20.
