RICHLAND — Volunteers are needed March 6-7 to help dig and level a new trail on Badger Mountain. The path will start at the Canyon Trail near Trailhead Park in Richland and connect to the Skyline Trail on top of Badger Mountain.
When finished, the trail will extend out to the eastern edge of the Badger Mountain Centennial Preserve passing through large sagebrush and include vistas to the north, east and south.
When combined with the Canyon Trail, it will provide a loop hike of about 3 miles.
Join volunteers from the Friends of Badger Mountain, Washington Trail Association, Rattlesnake Ridge Riders and the Chinook Bicycle Club.
