Barb and Richard Black
Barb and Richard Black of Pasco celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family reunion.
They were married June 30, 1955, in Moses Lake. They moved to Pasco in 1963.
Barb is a homemaker and worked as a secretary for the Pasco School District’s food service program from 1968-78. She worked as a highway flag person from 1978-88.
Richard joined the Operating Engineers in 1958. He worked for L.W. Vail for 19 years and J.J. Welcome for 10 years before going to work for Scarsella Brothers. He retired from the operating engineers in 1996.
Richard is a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and a member of the Pasco Moose Lodge. The Blacks have enjoyed wintering in El Centro, Calif., for the past 18 years.
They have four children, Nancy and Harlan Scherer of Pasco; Penney and Brian MacKenzie of Delta, British Columbia; Tracy and John Smart of San Diego; and Marshall and Lisa Black of Pasco.
They have nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
