Jim and Peggy Anderson of Pasco celebrated 55 years of marriage on Jan. 7.
They were married Jan. 7, 1956, in Pasco. Jim and Peggy met while Jim was serving at the Army base in the Hanford area. They married and moved to his hometown of Dallas, Texas. After the birth of their children, they moved back to the Mid-Columbia in 1960.
Peggy was a pharmacy technician at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, retiring in 1994.
Jim was a senior chemical technologist at Fluor Daniel. He retired in 1994. He also served as a Franklin County reserve police officer volunteer.

They are members of the Church of God in Pasco.
They have two children, Steve Anderson of Pasco and Patricia Edwards of Pasco. They have four grandchildren.
