Claude "CD" and Verna "Bunnie" Hooker of Kennewick were married Dec. 24, 1950, at the Church of God in Kennewick. They celebrated their 60th anniversary with a family dinner Dec. 24.
Bunnie worked for Tri-City Oil Co. until 1982 when she opened Budget Bazaar in downtown Kennewick. She served as the secretary for the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists, or NRRPT, until retiring in 1994 to snowbird to their second home and family in Yuma, Ariz.
CD worked for Battelle Northwest as a health physicist until retiring in 1992. He was an active member and speaker for the NRRPT.
They have been snowbirds for the last 18 years but stayed in the Tri-Cities for the holidays and to celebrate their 60th anniversary this year.

They have three children, Mike (Debbie) Hooker of Peoria, Ariz.; Shelley Ledbetter of Pasco; and Peggy (Del) Albertson of Kennewick. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
