Foundry Vineyards of Walla Walla is opening a tapestries exhibit featuring internationally known artists Chuck Close and Kiki Smith on June 5.
The exhibit, called Chuck Close/Kiki Smith: Tapestries from Magnolia Editions will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 5-6 at Foundry Vineyards, 1111 Abadie St., in Walla Walla.
Close, originally from Monroe, is known for his “ingenious” rendering of the human face in painting and printmaking. Smith’s work transports the viewer into an ethereal landscape of the natural world.
