Justin Michaud's first vintage at this Prosser, Wash., winery is a beauty, and he scored a unanimous double gold medal at the largest judging of Pacific Northwest wines. This gorgeous Albariño from estate grapes in the Horse Heaven Hills reveals aromas of pear, Golden Delicious apple and kiwi, followed by flavors that are both creamy and taut with just the barest kiss of sweetness. This won a unanimous double gold medal at the 2015 Great Northwest Wine Competition. (14.1 percent alcohol)
