Second Harvest will join forces with Tri-City letter carriers and Yoke’s Fresh Market for the 23rd annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive on May 9.
Letter carriers will collect nonperishable food donations along their postal routes. All donations will help to stock the shelves of Second Harvest’s food bank network across Benton and Franklin counties.
The community is invited to participate by putting non-perishable food items (canned soups, fruits and vegetables, boxes of pasta, cereal) in sturdy bags, and leaving them next to their mailboxes for collections. All donations should be in place, prepared for pickup, by 9 a.m. May 9.
Yoke’s is also participating in the food drive. Members of the community can drop off donations to any area Yoke’s store during normal business hours May 9.
