A construction crane lifts equipment and materials Tuesday for a four-story expansion to the River Pavilion Patient Tower at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. The tower crane is 266 feet tall and sits on eight 55-foot deep concrete piles encased in 72 cubic feet of concrete. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2016. The hospital is holding a ceremonial “crane lifting” to celebrate the start of construction at 11 a.m. Friday in Sutch Park, just north of the hospital. The public is invited.
