The deadline to apply for the upcoming Cork’s Place facilitator training has been extended to Jan. 7.
Facilitators help with grief support groups for children ages 3-18. The 30-hour training is Friday evenings and Saturdays on Jan. 23-24, Feb. 6-7 and Feb. 20-21.
Cork’s Place is a program of The Chaplaincy. It helps children and their families deal with grief after the death of a loved one.
Support groups meet every other week during the school year, averaging eight hours a month. Facilitators are asked to commit for 10 months.
