The Thursday morning commute in the Tri-City area might be slippery, according to the National Weather Service.
It predicts a 30 percent chance of rain or freezing rain in the Tri-Cities Thursday morning, up from a 20 percent chance the night before. The high Thursday is expected to remain well below freezing in the mid 20s.
Thursday night a mix of rain, snow and freezing rain is possible.
By the weekend highs should be back in the upper 30s and lows in the lower 30s, according to the weather service. Only a slight chance of precipitation is predicted then, with any precipitation falling as rain.
