Appellation: Columbia Valley
This is likely the largest single bottling of Riesling anywhere in the world, and it seems a little unfair that it is so delicious. But Ste. Michelle white winemaker Wendy Stucky has some great fruit to work with from the broad Columbia Valley, Horse Heaven Hills and Wahluke Slope. This is a stunning white wine that opens with aromas of tropical fruit, lime and slate, followed by fresh, clean, bright flavors of orchard fruit. The acidity lifts all the flavors without poking out, allowing the residual sugar to provide fleshiness without flabbiness. Rated "Outstanding" by Great Northwest Wine. (12.5 percent alcohol)
