WENATCHEE -- The rest of the area's playoff football picture came into focus Monday, and it has Connell and Royal playing a doubleheader in Wenatchee.
The Eagles (10-1) will play a rematch with Cashmere (11-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Apple Bowl. The top-ranked Bulldogs won 47-14 in week 3.
Royal (9-2) follows at 4 p.m. against Chelan (8-3).
In the 2A ranks, Prosser (9-1) and Ellensburg (9-3) will play in the Bulldogs' back yard at Central Washington University. Kickoff is noon Saturday.
Othello (9-2) takes on Archbishop Murphy (10-1) at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Of course, football fans who wish to stay closer to home can take in two games Saturday: Kamiakin (11-0) and Kennewick (10-1) in the 3A quarterfinals at 1 p.m. at Lampson Stadium; or the "five towns" affair between Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (9-1) and Waitsburg-Prescott (11-0) at noon at Edgar Brown.
