Weatherby leads River View over G'dale

PROSSER -- Austin Weatherby had a monster game and the River View Panthers exacted revenge from last season with a 34-26 nonleague victory against Goldendale at Art Fiker in Prosser.

Weatherby threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns, though he also threw three interceptions. The game was played in Prosser instead of Goldendale because of smoke from a wildfire on Satus Pass.

"(Weatherby) is seeing the field nicely," River View coach Brett Jay said. "He would be the first to tell you the wide receivers made one play after another and our offensive line gave him a lot of time to dissect the defense.

"This was a great win after dropping two games to them last year. Our guys had this circled for awhile. They just wanted to make a statement that we are back and our kids did that."

Freshman Ruvim Tyutyunnik had three catches for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Marshall had a monster game for the Panthers, catching eight passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns.
