Quick hits

* Last year's senior-laden team finished 8-2, but lost in the regional playoffs.

* Roseberry and Mitchell are both two-way returning starters. Roseberry was a second-team DL selection last year, and on offense he rushed for 652 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. Mitchell was an honorable mention pick at tight end.

* Lillquist, Wyatt and Mitchell are also leaders off the field. Lillquist is the ASB public relations representative at the school, while Wyatt and Mitchell are senior class officers.

* Quarterback Matt Bennett is the son of Central Washington University head football coach Blaine Bennett. Matt Bennett was also an honorable mention pick as a kick returner last season.

* The Bulldogs are the only team in the conference to play its nonleaguer on the west side, at Archbishop Murphy tonight.

Outlook

Coach Affholter lost a lot of experience from last season's squad.

Offensively, he'll need an all-new line to jell quickly to help Bennett pass and Roseberry run.

Defensively, the Bulldogs have experience up front. But things are pretty green at linebacker and in the secondary.
