Traffic was blocked briefly Tuesday afternoon on Steptoe Street at Gage Boulevard after a truck was hit while trying to turn onto Steptoe Street, authorities said.
The 2005 Dodge pickup, driven by Ryan Gillard, 30, of Pasco, was hit in the right rear when Gillard turned left in front of a Chevy pickup that was heading west on Gage Boulevard, Kennewick police said.
The impact of the hit then spun Gillard's truck 180 degrees and it slammed into a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan that was stopped on Steptoe waiting to turn left onto Gage, police said.
Two young children, 2 and 3, in Gillard's truck were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with minor injuries.
The driver of the Chevy truck, Kyle Casey, 21, of Kennewick, also was treated at Kadlec for possible chest and knee injuries.
The Caravan's driver, Dorothy Herres, 64, of Pasco, was not hurt.
Gillard is expected to be cited for failing to yield, police said.
