4 Mid-Columbians compete in world horseshoe tourney

Kennewick's Reuben Hopper, Truman Hopper and Hollis Morris will join Grandview's Russell Phillips at the World Horseshoe Pitching Championships, which began Monday at the Prairie Capitol Convention Center in Springfield, Ill.

It is the 100th anniversary of the event and 1,330 pitchers from 45 states and Canada are expected to vie for approximately $170,000 in prize money, trophies and scholarships.
