The Port of Benton will have an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday for the new Milbrandt Vineyards winery at Prosser’s Vintner’s Village.
The 3,000-square-foot wine tasting room includes a large outdoor patio and a barrel room. The winery’s production facility will remain in Mattawa, near the vineyards planted by brothers Butch and Jerry Milbrandt.
The tasting room will have a commercial kitchen and offer cheese trays and wines by the glass.
Milbrandt Vineyards grows about 1,600 acres of grapes and the brothers currently produce about 30,000 cases of wine annually.
