Mr. Movie

'Randomocity' serves as random entertainment doubling as indie movie

A very strange title is the title of the third film in Carmike Cinema’s Independent Film Series.

Randomocity is written and directed by Tyler Lee Allen who also stars as one of the film’s main characters.

It’s an odd character study about a goofy, insecure mid-20s something guy who meets the woman of his dreams. A tragedy strikes early in the relationship but love blooms anyway. He has the patience of the biblical Job.

Worked in and through the story is an odd friendship the man has with a guy who works in movies and is writing his own script.

Allen gets quite a bit of work as a production assistant and other odd movie production jobs. This is his first film.

For a fringe independent, low-budget flick, Allen’s story and script aren’t bad.

In the future, Allen should stay behind the camera. He’s not a very good actor.

Better acting would help Randomocity. So would more attention to the sound mix.
