Acclaimed trumpeter Allen Vizzutti to perform May 20-21 with Hanford High students

Acclaimed trumpet player Allen Vizzutti will perform will Hanford High School music students on May 20-21 as part of the school’s Guest Artist concert series.

Showtime is 7 p.m. both days. Vizzutti will perform with Hanford’s concert band, symphonic band and wind ensemble on May 20 and with all five jazz bands on May 21.

Performances are at Hanford High, 450 Hanford St.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Advance tickets are available at Adventures Underground, Ted Brown Music and from Hanford High instrumental music students.

VIP tickets are $30 and include a private reception at Terra Blanca Winery.

Vizzutti, a native of Seattle, has performed around the world and in more than 160 movie soundtracks, from Star Trek to Back to the Future and the Rocky films.

Vizzutti also teaches and composes music, including pieces that have been performed by groups including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Tonight Show Orchestra.
