The Walla Walla Symphony is presenting a “Free Rock Concert” in Washington Park at 5:30 p.m. July 31.
The event will feature 50 students from the 7th Annual Free Rock ‘n Roll Camp. The Walla Walla Symphony and the Walla Walla Blues Society present the one-week performance camp (hosted by The Walla Walla Public Schools and Lincoln High School) designed to give its attendees the full experience of producing a Rock ‘n’ Roll concert.
The camp, open to students grades 7–12, has allowed campers the opportunity to be coached on their instrument of choice by local musicians, learn about song writing, professionalism and stage presence, marketing and promoting a music production, and more.
For more information about the concert or the camp, email Elizabeth Tackett at firstname.lastname@example.org, Anthony Barba at email@example.com, or call the Walla Walla Symphony at 509-529-8020.
Rock ‘n Roll Camp is sponsored by Yancey P. Winans Trust, Melody Muffler, Hot Poop, the Walla Walla Public Schools/Lincoln High School, Walla Walla Department of Parks & Recreation, Diamond Eye Performance Exhaust, Walla Walla Guitar Company, and MDU Resources Foundation.
