Get ready for a rumble in the park June 21 when the annual Hogs and Dogs event kicks off the Cool Desert Nights festivities.
Cool Desert Nights is June 22-24 at several spots in Richland and West Richland. The weekend features show 'n' shines, car cruises, street dances, slow drags, kids zone and more. See the June 22 edition of Atomictown for more details.
"We are expecting about 4,000 motorcycles and 8,000 attendees at this year's (Hogs and Dogs) event," said May Hays, executive director of the West Richland Chamber.
The hogs will park their motorbikes from 4 to 10 p.m. June 21 at the sports complex on Bombing Range Road in West Richland.
A mix of music will be provided throughout the evening by Tri-City musician Nick Vigarino. The popular hot dog meals cost $7. Family packs of four meal tickets can be purchased in advance from the chamber office for $20.
Any motorcyclist who would like to be a part of the hog show 'n' shine is welcome. Entry is $10.
There also will be a drawing to give away a Victory 2012 High-Ball motorcycle. Tickets for the drawing are $10 and available at the event as well as these Tri-City locations: Thunder Alley Victory, Full Throttle Motorcycle Accessories, Yoke's Fresh Market and Ranch and Home, all in Kennewick, and the West Richland branch of the Benton REA office and the chamber office.
